Floral, citrusy
sweet, fresh, woodsy, clean, which scent
is my signature?
Testers, trial sized
scented strips from the fragrance
counter in my purse.
My most recent scent
saffron and cedar. My son
said, “It smells great, Mom,
if you want to smell
like a pencil box.” I think
about that. Found it!

Lori,
I think saffron and cedar sound like a lovely scent. I wore cologne/perfume for years but always had to buy a different scent w/ each purchase because my body rebelled at repeats. The lady scent I bought wax called Poetry. I bought it in the Lake District of England, but I can’t wear it. It causes my sinuses to run. Alas, my scent days have ended. -
The recent scent names are intriguing — I had to look up bergamot, tonka and aldehydic. I thought I was doing well when I knew what tea tree or eucalyptus was. Love this exploration of our myriad of scent choices. I’m intrigued by the saffron and cedar. I wish I had a sampler.

Your son’s comment is funny, but really, who wouldn’t want to smell like a pencil box? Colorful, useful, clean. Interesting description and clever ideas!
